First off, i reserve the right to refuse any request for any reason. Usually the reason is that I'm swamped and not taking orders at the moment. Or if I don't feel like my skills and resources could produce what you'd like, I will try and direct you to someone who can help you. I'm sure I can come up with other, more colorful reasons as well. But other than that...
Drapes, slipcovers and home furnishings -- Not that I can't, but I just don't like doing it, 'nuff said. But i do love a variety of craft projects including stuffed animals, handbags, pillows, tea cozies, placemats, lampshades, hairbows and whatever strikes my fancy, and I might just be in a slump and need the money, or have some wild desire to sew long straight endless seams forever and ever -- so go ahead and ask me.
Waist-training corsets -- As much as I love corsets, I am not up to taking the rap for damaged backs, broken ribs, punctured organs, and all the other things that are never supposed to happen when being properly trained. There are plenty of sites out there -- check my links page
Latex, rubber, vinyl, leather or metalworks (yet) -- I currently use a domestic sewing machine and it just won't take leather or vinyl without a lot of complaining. Latex and rubber I do not have the resources for. I do know someone who makes both maille and plate armour, and he also works with leather. Contact me for his information.
Plastic boning (yuck!) -- If you think boning is uncomfortable and corsets must be unbearable, you've probably only experienced plastic or rigilene boning. I think this stuff is evil and should be wiped from the face of the earth. I use mainly spiral steel boning because it has incredible flexibility and maintains its shape very well. Allow me to introduce you to how comfortable boning can be.
Licensed or trademarked images -- It is illegal to re-create a licensed or trademarked image (ie, costume or piece). If you have any questions, email or call me.
"Make me look like him/her..." -- If you're 5'2" and 200lbs and you send me a picture of Naomi Campbell's latest runway gown-ette and expect it to look just as flattering on you as it does her, no offense, but we'll have to talk. That doesn't mean it's impossible, but we'll have to talk.
And don't ask me to hem your pants.
